Annie Spears, born on April 21, 1949, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, at the age of 75.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Helen Irene (Rose) Comley Sr.; her siblings, Grant Comley Jr., Jeanie Comley, and Linda Spears. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Larry Hamilton; brother Lee Comley; her sister Mary Stinnett; her daughters Nanci (Michael) Whitlow and Monie (Dan) McCulloch; her treasured grandchildren Nikki Whitlow, Neveda Whitlow, Colin (Ashley) McCulloch, and Hunter McCulloch; and her great-granddaughter Ripley Quinn Tucker. Annie also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will hold her memory close to their hearts.
Annie retired after a long and dedicated career as a high school custodian. She was known for her love of cats and a playful enthusiasm for bingo and slot machines. Her adventurous spirit brought joy to those around her as she embraced life’s simple pleasures. In earlier years, she delighted in dancing and spreading laughter with her lively energy. Later in life, she found comfort in the quiet hours of the night, embracing the peace of being a night owl.
Her warmth and humor left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Annie’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so generously shared throughout her lifetime.
