Charles E. Phillippe, age 86 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

He was born on March 3, 1938 in Waynesburg, Kentucky, son of the late Hobert and Wagie Ratliff Phillippe.

Charles attended Northside Baptist Church and Science Hill Christian Church. He was known as “Tiny” among his co-workers at Crane Plumbing, where he retired after 38 years. He played basketball at Middleburg High School where he was known as “Hoot”, and enjoyed watching sports, but his favorite was baseball. He also enjoyed farming, gardening and making molasses. He loved spending time with his family, especially his siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Barbara “Sis” Tucker.

 He is survived by his wife, Marlene Durham Phillippe; son, Todd Phillippe of Somerset; daughter, Terri (Conley) Phillippe New of Nancy; brothers, Jim (Vicky) Phillippe and Johnny (Wanda) Phillippe all of Walltown; sisters, Winnie Mae (Crim) Smith of Maineville, Ohio and Freeda (Wayne) Floyd of South Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren, Trey Dick (Tara Maynard) of Somerset, Ethan Hyden and Braydon Phillippe; a great-grandchild, Poppy Marie Dick and a special friend, Winston Osborne.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Chestnut officiating. Burial will be in the Dunham Cemetery in Walltown.

Pallbearers will be Trey Dick, Ethan Hyden, Casey Phillippe, Steve Smith, Wayne Floyd and Justin Adams.
