Edward “Lane” Abner, age 60, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.
Lane was born on January 8, 1964 to the late Edward Abner and Sylvia Sue Goodman Walters in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed watching movies, collecting coins, fishing, wood working, drawing and was very artistic.
Lane was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jimmy Walters. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons: Jason Lee Troxtle of Somerset, Ky; Jordan Lane Effner (Jami) of IN and Cody Bryce Abner (Emily) of Russell Springs, Ky; sisters: Lora Mays (Mike) of Campbellsville, Ky and Candy Baker of Somerset, Ky; along with 11 grandchildren, 2 on the way and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 12 to 1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm. Burial will follow in Ringgold Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Edward “Lane” Abner.
We are so sorry to learn Lane has passed away. He worked for us many years ago and coached our grandson’s first t ball team. He was a very talented artist. Sending sincere condolences to your family.
