Shelia Renee Grider, age 54, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Shelia was born on November 12, 1969 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late William Henry Denham and Barbara Bates Denham.
She attended West Somerset Baptist Church. She retired from Somerset Pulaski EMS as a paramedic and enjoyed teaching her students at Somerset Community College. She enjoyed having her morning coffee, texting her friends, playing with her grandbabies and loved visiting Gatlinburg with her husband. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Shelia was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Denham and Barbara Denham, infant brother, Arthur Dewayne Denham and a cousin, Derrick Denham.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 20 years, Michael Grider, son: William Austin Tyler “Fish” Holder (Belle) of Somerset; daughter, Elizabeth Fraser (Valance) of Columbus, OH; brother, William Randy Denham of Somerset, special niece and special nephew: Brandi Denham and Josh Denham, great-niece and great-nephew: Ellie Kate Wooten and Atticus Combs; aunt and uncle: Ken and Carol Denham; along with her grandbabies: Robin Holder and Annabelle Holder and loving family, friends and a thousand memories told around the picnic table.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 5 to 8pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. A short visitation will be held from 10am to 11am on Tuesday morning, November 12, 2024 with a funeral service to be held at 11am with Bro. John Dunbar and Brandon Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shelia Renee Grider Memorial Fund C/O Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
