Carrie Bell Phillips Neely Roberts, age 87, of Ashland, Ohio, passed from this life, on Monday, October 28, 2024.
Carrie was born on January 10, 1937 to the late Willie L. Phillips and Rosie M. Dingus Phillips in Wise County, Virginia.
She was a member of Old Fashion Grace Baptist Church in South Amherst, Ohio. She enjoyed dancing, gospel and country music and working at Wal-Mart. She retired from M.A. Harrison Manufacturing after 27 years of employment and worked on a farm for 2 ½ years.
Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Roberts, her parents, Willie and Rosie Phillips, sister, Clara Davis, special cousin and like a sister, Flonnie Simpson; her fur babies: Taffy Buchanan and Buster Kindrick.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters: Sally Vickie Buchanan of Grafton, OH; Nancy Kindrick of Burnside, KY; stepsons: David Roberts (Betty) of NC; Timothy Roberts (Dena) of LaGrange, OH; Harry Roberts Jr. of PA; stepdaughter, Janeen Roberts of MD; brother, Elmer Phillips of Norton, VA; grandchildren: Paul Jason Buchanan, Candy Lynn Kindrick Heatley, great-grandchildren: Kylie Buchanan, Austin Rhodes, Ashley Bakston, Shawna Kindrick, great-great-granddaughter, Adeline Sunshine Buchanan; her with fur babies: Tootsie Buchanan, Baby Kindrick, Coco and Lexi Heatley and Winston Buchanan; along with several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 11am to 1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Carrie Bell Phillips Neely Roberts.
