Charles Robert “Bob” Thomas, age 87 of Somerset, died October 26, 2024 at Rockcastle Hospital.
He was born in Casey County, KY on March 24, 1937. Bob was retired from Tecumseh Products. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, bird watching and loved animals.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. Thomas, and son, Dennis G. Thomas, daughter-in-law, Darlene M. Thomas.
He is survived by his sons: Charles H. Thomas (John) and Earl S. Thomas (Karen), granddaughter, Hollie D. Thomas (Cody), grandson, Hunter S. Thomas, great-grandson, Jaxson G. Casada, great-granddaughters: Lana M. Casada and Marlowe R. Casada, step-granddaughter, Carlee A. Faulkner (Caleb), step-great-granddaughters: Eleanor M. Faulkner and Charlotte R. Faulkner.
A special thanks to the staff at Rockcastle Health and Rehab. It was Bob’s wishes that there be no formal services and he requested expressions of sympathy be made to Somerset-Pulaski Humane Society.

I always thought so fondly of Bob. He was married to my father’s sister, Shirley. Bob was always direct, funny, and kind. I am thankful to have known him. Prayers for the entire family and for Bob.
We called him Charlie at Tecumseh. He always had a story to tell and was pleasant to work around. His friends will miss him. Prayers for the family.
