Bonnie “Jeanette” (Keith) Casada, age 83, of Bronston, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at her residence following a long illness.
Jeannette was born on October 18, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ganzie and Bessie New Keith. Jeanette married Starlin Edward Casada at the bride’s home in the Quinton Community on June 11, 1960. There was one daughter born from their union. Jeanette was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Kidder, KY and she loved her church family dearly. She taught various Sunday School Classes and loved to sing with a quartet. Her life’s passion was her crafts, painting, sewing, crocheting, decorating cakes, and any other craft she came across.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet Lynn and Joey New of Bronston, KY; one grandson, Nathan Keith New, one sister, Patricia Ann Keith Swail, one sister-in-law, Lorraine (and Gene) Tucker of Bronston, KY; brother-in-laws: Denver Casada, Bobby (and Hilda) Casada, Boyd (and Brenda) Casada, sisters-in-law: Frieda Casada, Ruby Whan, Joyce Nicholas, and many nieces and nephews and good friends.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents; Ganzie and Bessie New Keith, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clint and Charity Neeley Casada, her grandsons: Michael Jonathan and Duane Alan New, her brothers: Kenneth Ray and Glen Roy Keith, her sister-in-laws, Linda Rakes, Verdena Morrow Casada, Euetta (Lowell) Keith, brother-in-laws: Chester (and Flonnie) Casada, Ray (and Christine) Casada, Marvin Casada, infant brother Herstle Casada, and great-niece, Kayla Keith.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 5 to 8pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Visitation will resume on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 10am at Liberty Baptist Church in Kidder, KY with a funeral service to begin at 11am at the church with Bro. Adam Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Kidder, KY.
The family requests expressions of sympathy by made to Liberty Cemetery or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
