Sean Phillip Heldt passed away September 28, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Iowa City, IA on June 13, 1964 and was raised in Oelwein, IA. He was confirmed in the Lutheran church at an early age. He had a wide range of interests, talents and skills. He enjoyed gardening, working in his garage, taking care of his lawn, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Esther Reckemmer, and his parents, Nancy Frey and Richard Heldt. He is survived by his wife, Cyndi, his daughter Erin Gibson, his grandchildren Harper, Ashlyn, and Winston Hill, his sister Heidi Lubben and brother-in-law Randy. He is also survived by a large and loving family of in-laws, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Sean Phillip Heldt.
