Connie Marie Emerson, age 62, of Columbia, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Baptist Health in Lexington, Kentucky.
Connie was born on December 9, 1961 to the late Larry Haynes and Emma Jean Burns Haynes in Marion, Indiana.
She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed dot puzzles, traveling to the mountains, loved her fur babies “Candy” and “Ginger”. She most of all cherished her family and will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Emma Haynes, brother, Larry “Bo” Haynes Jr. and nephew, Randy Burkett.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 10 years, James C. Emerson, sons: Terry Foley of Somerset, KY; Christopher Foley (Danielle) of Somerset, KY; James “Quincy” Emerson (Gayle) of Liberty, KY: Joey Lee Emerson (Natasha) of Stanford, KY; Scott Emerson (Courtney) of Oneida, TN; daughters: Tina Coffey of Somerset, KY and Emma Foley (James) of Liberty, KY; stepdaughters: Christin Emerson of Danville, KY and Jessica Jones of Clinton, TN; brothers: Fayette Haynes (Kelly) of Somerset, KY; Roger Haynes (Robert) of Lexington, KY; sisters: Sherry Burkett (Ronald “Goodie”) of Somerset, KY; Tammy Whitaker (Chuck) of IN; Ruby Brown (Terry) of Somerset, KY; Lora West of Somerset, KY; sister-in-law, Pam Haynes; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 5 to 8pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 1pm at the funeral home with Bro. Jeff Langford officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Connie Marie Emerson.
