Velvia June Phelps, age 88, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from life on Monday, September 30, 2024 at her home.
Velvia was born on March 12, 1936 to the late Marshall Jackson and Eula Herrin Jackson in Somerset, Kentucky.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing, canning, flowers, gardening and going to yard sales.
Velvia was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Phelps, her parents, Marshall and Eula Jackson, brothers, Dennis and Gordon Jackson and sister, Jackie Thompson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Ken Phelps (Darla) of Cincinnati, OH; daughter, Patricia Klepper (Eddie) of Somerset, KY; sister, Carolyn Hackney of Eubank, KY; grandchildren: Eric Klepper (Stephanie), Linsey Gaspar and great- grandchildren, Kensley Gaspar.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 11am in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 12pm. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pulaski Humane Society. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Velvia June Phelps.
