William “Glenn” Ping, age 81, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Glenn was born on January 1, 1943 to the late William Ernest Ping and Jennie Reynolds Ping in Ocala, Kentucky.
He was a member of Woodstock Baptist Church. He was a mechanic, a farmer and enjoyed spending time with family.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, William Ernest and Jennie Ping, infant sister, Anna Lee and sister, Wilda Todd (Dewey).
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Linda Sue Ping, sons: William Darion Ping and Harold Edward Bullock, daughters: Anna Mize (Jeff), Glenna Rose Cameron (Chris) of Paris, Ky; Robyn Lynn Das (Willem) of Kansas, sisters: Janice Loveless (Eugene) and Bonnie Mize (Charles); along with 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 11am in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2pm with Bro. Will Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Wood Stock Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for William “Glenn” Ping.
GLENN WAS ALWAYS HELPFUL TO ME IN MANY WAYS. HE WAS A GREAT MECHANIC AND TOOK CARE OF ANY MECHANICAL PROBLEMS. ALWAYS A HUMBLE PERSON AND VERY CARING.
