Charles Sparks, age 73, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at his home.

Charles was born on December 13, 1950 to the late Edgar E. Sparks and Faye Kretzer Sparks in Bluefield, West Virginia.

He was of the Baptist faith He enjoyed working in his yard, taking walks, reading, loved his fur babies “Teri”, “Bucky” and “Jimmy”. He was very involved with the Somernites Cruise Team. He always had a project he was working on.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Faye Sparks, brother Earl E. Sparks and sisters: Lillian Charlene Conley and Bertha Ellen Sparks.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Martha Carrol Sparks, son, Stuart Sparks of Somerset, Ky. He will be sadly missed.

Memorial service will be held from 3 to 5pm on Friday, September 13, 2024 in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pulaski County Animal Shelter. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Charles Sparks.
