Betty Casada, age 86, of Monticello, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Betty was born on April 4, 1938 to the late Marcus Tucker and Renda Correll Tucker in Betsy, Kentucky.
She was a member of Meadow Creek Baptist Church. She was a teacher for the Wayne County School System for over 43 years, where she taught 5th Grade. She enjoyed teaching children and education was a big part of her life. She enjoyed making quilts and canning vegetables from her garden. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Renda Tucker, her husband, Paul Casada, brothers: Edward Tucker, Fred Tucker, Frank Tucker and Phil Tucker, sisters: Maude Pendleton, Mildred Lovell, Lula Mae West and infant sister, Hettie Tucker
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Edward Casada (Scena), daughter, Pamela Brown (Earl) all of Monticello, Ky; grandchildren: Alison Colyer, Moriah Stinson, Marcus Brown, Malachi Brown, great-grandchildren: Barrett Dobbs, Adrian Dobbs and Everly Stinson.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10am Mayfield Cemetery with Bro. Jason Bertram officiating. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Betty Casada.

I loved Mrs. Casada. She was such a wonderful teacher. She loved her family so much. She used to talk about them to her students. She was such a beautiful soul. Prayers for her family.
