Marilyn “Merk-Merk” Ray Ballou, age 45, of Somerset, Kentucky, was carried by angels into her eternal life, to meet Jesus.
Marilyn was born on July 28, 1978 to the late Harold Ballou and Betty Lay Calhoun Ballou in Lexington, Kentucky.
She was of the Baptist faith. She loved to Pray to Jesus, listen to music, going to the lake, cookouts, going to yard sales, coloring and spending time with her family and grand babies.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her fathers: Harold Ballou and Donald Calhoun, her mother, Betty Calhoun Ballou and grandmother, Dossie Lay, nieces: Brandy Calhoun, Christy Calhoun, Kristy Roberson, brother in laws: Ricky Calhoun and Waylon Burton.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Logan (Tiffany) Bertram, her daughter, Lillian (Justin) Bertram all of Somerset, Ky; brothers: Donny (Jenny) Calhoun of Somerset; Edward and Kelvin Calhoun of Burnside, Ky; sisters, Diane Calhoun of Somerset, Ky and Karen Calhoun of Nancy, Ky; grandchildren: Gracie Bertram, Jackson Bertram, Alexander Mote; along with nieces: Kari, Mandy (Nick), Lexie (Jordan), Haleigh, Kynleigh, Little Lexie, nephews: Harley, Aaron, Bryson and Devon.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11am in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. Perry Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
