Charles “Charlie” E. Davis, age 83, of Burnside, Kentucky passed from this life on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Charlie was born on February 14, 1941 to the late Lester Davis and Mattie Hay Davis in Keno, Kentucky.
He was of the Baptist faith and attended Neeley’s Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, playing bingo, enjoyed watching westerns and NASCAR, Family Feud and watching UK play with his son in law, Billy. He was a former Pulaski County Constable and a fireman for Tateville Fire Department. He cherished his family and will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena Davis, his parents, Lester and Mattie Davis, brothers: William “Bill” Davis, Russell Davis, Homer Davis and a sister, Glenna Adkisson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters: Charlene Davis, Melissa Lemmon (William), Felisha Crouse (Andrew) all of Burnside, Ky; Marie Young (Jerry) of Standford, Ky; sisters: Genalea Nunn (Jay) of Newcastle, IN; Shirley Stout (Floyd) of Tateville, Ky; Diana Faye Stout (Rusell) “Goodin” of Tateville, Ky; grandchildren: Kendra (Chris) Roy, Heather (Valis) Smedley, Shelby (Alec) Lemmon, Levi (Molly) Young, William Lemmon, Amber (Austin) Douglas, Emily (Isaiah) Young, Bobby Joe Walters Jr., Rhyelynn Crouse, David Cook, Kaylee Crouse (Tristan), great grandkids: Chandler Lewis, Charlie Smedley, Hayden Smedley, Harley Roy, Kyla Smedley, Allison Carrender, Nevaeh Douglas, Kynslee Douglas, Madisyn Douglas, Carson Douglas, Carter Douglas, Ayden Douglas, Jensen Young, C.J. Roy and Morgan Baker. Waiting to greet him on the other side is his friend of 75 years Richard Bradshaw.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 5-8pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Visitation will continue on Saturday, June 8, 2024 after 9am. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday with Bro. Buddy Barnett and Bro. Paul Davis officiating.
