Bobby Albert Burden, age 88, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Bobby was born on July 5, 1935 to the late Walter Burden and Gracie Howell Burden in Missouri.
He was a member of Potters Place Baptist Church. He loved to read the Bible and share what God has done for him. He enjoyed wood working and golf, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his fur baby “Chloe”. He shared his life with his life companion, Judy Spears for over 30 years. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Gracie Burden. Brothers, Billy Jimmy and Carl Burden and sisters, Carol Burden, Betty Willingham and Elaine Nicholas.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his life companion for over 30 years, Judy Spears, his son, James Robert Burden, brothers Eugene Nicholas and Johnny Nicholas all of Tennessee; like sons, Rick and Tim Spears, grandchildren, Brandi and Amanda Burden, Sara Elizabeth Hendricks, Miranda Jo Spears, Blake Burden and Clara Burden; great-grandchildren, Stella Hendricks, Preston Swett, Piper Spears and Clara Kay Turner.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 4-5:30pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 5:30pm. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

I am so sorry for the great loss of my dear friend Bob Burden. Bob gave me a job in 1983 taking care of his elderly friend Margaret, Bob was such a wonderful person to work for and we became the very best of friends. I will forever miss him and I pray that God brings all of his family comfort and peace all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you.
