Kenneth (Goner) Arnold Morrow age 91, of Nancy, Kentucky passed from this life on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.
Kenneth was born on November 3, 1932 to the late Joseph and Sallie (Coomer) Morrow in Cedar Crest, Kentucky.
He was a loving, caring husband and father who had strong family values and work ethics. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War and also served in the Reserves. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He would give his shirt off of his back to anyone in need. He was a strong disciplinarian but in a silent way. All you got from him was that look! He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sallie Morrow, sisters, Maxine Davis (Lawrence), Betty Roberts (Russell), brother Donnie Morrow (Murial), daughter in law Joyce Morrow, son in law Gary Cook and sister in law Thelma Morrow.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 69 years, Irene Morrow, son, Alan Morrow (Sheila) of Mooresville, IN; daughters, Teresa Downhour of Lafayette, IN; Karen Cook (Kenny) and Kimberley Hizer (Brett) all of Kewanna, IN; brother Ed Morrow of Science Hill, Ky; along with 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 11am-1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Pastor Randy Wood. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Honor Guard Post #38. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Kenneth A. Morrow.
