James F. Wilson, age 72, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at his home. James was born August 4, 1951 in Keno, KY to Milton Wilson and Evelyn Taylor Wilson who are both deceased. James is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pamela Nicely Wilson, their son Jamie Wilson of Somerset. Daughter Janel and Mitch Joseph of Lexington, KY. Daughter Abigail and Brent Simpson, of Louisville, KY, and a grandson Logan Wilson of Somerset.
James is survived by siblings Cleda Dalton, Karen Heath (Gene), Darlene Kennedy of Somerset, Arlene Wilson of Albany, Betty Matthieu (Jim) from Lima, Ohio, Jimmy Wilson (Pat) from Somerset, KY and Joe Wilson (Linda) from Monteray, Tennessee, Regina Strohink from Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Larry Wilson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Brothers and sisters that have preceded him in death are Wynova Wilson, David Wilson, Marvin Tucker, Bradford Wilson, Ricky Wilson, Willie Dwayne Wilson, and Nina McQueary.
James was known by many in Pulaski County as the Taxi service operator. He made many good friends during the last twenty years in that service. James also served three years in the Army.
A memorial will be at 3pm Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Southern Oaks, Somerset, KY. Visiting with family and friends begins at 2.
