Brian Lee Cook, age 50 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on July 26, 1973 in Somerset, Kentucky, son of the late James and Pauline Morrow Cook.
Brian was of the Christian faith and a former employee of Southern Tires and Condor Tires. He loved hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved the time spent with this family, his two girls, a special nephew, Trevor Castle, his special friend, Chris Poynter and his cats. Brian will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica Cook; daughters, Brianna Cook of Somerset and Mariah Cook of Alabama; brothers, James (Sandy) Cook of Somerset, Mike (MaryAnn) Cook of Somerset and Sammy (Billie) Cook of Jamestown, TN; sisters, Donna (Richard) Koger of Whitley City and Alissa (Jimmy) Castle of Burnside; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral services to be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Ashley and Bro. Grant Hardwick officiating. Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Poynter, Trevor Castle, Jarod Keys, James Todd, Clinton Miller, and Travis Rickett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sean VanHook and Byron VanHook. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Brian Lee Cook Memorial Fund.
