Arnold D. Harris, age 88, of Ferguson, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Arnold was born on September 4, 1934 to the late William T. Harris and Isabelle Barnes Harris in Sugar Hill, Kentucky.
He was of the Baptist faith. He was a hard worker and a great provider. He enjoyed trading cars, visiting with friends and never met a stranger. Arnold will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, William and Isabelle Harris; brothers, Lloyd, Tarter, Hoover and Lowell Harris; and sisters, Ethel Bryley, Evelyn Sowder, Viola Stepp, Gerri Gast, Faye Moore and Exie Coffman.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons, Lindon Harris and Phillip (Robin) Harris of Somerset, Ky; daughter, Connie (Happy) Rakestraw of Somerset, Ky; grandchildren, Tonya Stringer, Aubrey Harris, Angel Rakestraw and Joybelle Carroll; great-grandchildren, Cody, Bailey, Ben, Mollee Belle; along with great-great grandchildren, Clover, Finnick, Codelia and Zaber.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 10 A.m. to 12 P.m. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 12 P.m. at the funeral home. Burial, will follow in Barnesburg Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Arnold D. Harris.
Arnold was a great guy, who could always make us laugh. We will miss him. Prayers for his family!!
