Carl O. Koch, age 91, of Burnside, Kentucky passed from this life Monday, April 18, 2022 at his home.  

Carl was born May 28, 1930 to William George Koch and Margaret Elizabeth Mayer Koch in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Burnside and was a proud Army Veteran where he served on the frontline during the Korean War. He worked for 38 ½ years at Kahn’s Meat and he enjoyed fishing, gardening, lawn work and spending time with family. Carl was a hero to everyone he knew and will be known for spreading the word of God. 

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Koch; son, Carl Oliver Koch Jr.; brothers, Paul, Bobby, Edwin, Edward and Billy Koch; sisters, Maggie, Mona, Jean, Flora Mae.  

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 69 years, Peggy Koch; daughters, Robin Lima of Cincinnati, OH; Lisa Moore of Somerset, Ky (Morgan Wallace); Brenda Beatty (Tad) of Somerset, Ky; son-in-law, Darren Moore; grandchildren, Reuben Lima Jr., Carla Moore and Anna Lima; great-grandchildren, Gage Koch and 4 other great-grandchildren; along with special friend, Frank Jackson and a host of friends and family. 

A special thank you to Hospice, especially Beverly Mulcahy and Amber. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Richard Christian officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky.  

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.  

Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Honor Guard Post 38.
