Albert Levis Peyton Jr., age 70, of Somerset, Kentucky was promoted to glory, Monday, November 22, 2021 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
A.L. was born September 7, 1951 to Albert Peyton Sr. and Dorothy Hill Meldrom in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was a believer that loved the Lord and cherished his beloved wife of 50 years, Diana. A.L. was a children’s Bible Study Teacher in California for Bible Study Fellowship International for over 15 years. He was a proud United States Marine, Vietnam Veteran and cherished his family.
A.L. was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Hill Meldrom; sister, Mary Musselwhite and grandson, Ronin Peyton.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, father, Albert Peyton Sr.; wife, Diana Peyton; sons, Michael Peyton (Vilai) of Los Angeles, CA; Matthew Peyton (Cece) of Thousand Oaks, CA; Daniel Peyton (Patty) of Somerset, Ky; sisters, Lynn Martindale of FL; Donna Scrivnor of NC; Holly Lynn Brending of CA; brother, Michael Wayne Cowdin of NC; grandchildren, Marshall Peyton, Mason Peyton, Brandon Peyton, James Peyton and Macey Peyton.

Al is dear friend that exemplified Christ in thought and actions. He was an encouraged and introduced me to Bible Study Fellowship where faith and service grew. He has received his reward as a faithful servant of Christ. I look forward to seeing g him again and experience the glory of our Heavenly Father. Until then I will cherish his friendship as I await my promotion to glory!
Al, I’ll miss you always!
I had the privilege of crossing paths with Al during a phase of my life when I felt utterly adrift, both in my personal and spiritual journey. It’s a long story, and I consider myself incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to express my gratitude to Al for molding the person I have become today.
