Troy E. Stanfill age 91, of Burnside, Kentucky passed from this life Friday, August 20, 2021 at his home. 

Troy was born in Williamsburg, Ky to the late Henry Stanfill and Anna White Stanfill on January 12, 1930. 

He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Dayton Progress in West Carrollton, Ohio and previously lived in Dayton. Troy proudly served his country as a United States Marine. He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting; had a comical personality and was very kind. 

Troy was preceded in death along with his parents; wife, Sara Jackson Stanfill; son, Martin Pulley; daughter, Sherry Jenkins; brothers, Otis, Robert and Roy Stanfill; sisters, Marie Ball and Lucy Purvis; also with companion of 13 years, Frances Witt. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughters, Johnette Warner (Wayne) of Burnside, Ky; Frances Sue Herndon (Ricky) of Sebastian, FL; daughter-in-law, Shirley Pulley of VA; son-in-law, Jim Jenkins of Englewood, OH; grandchildren, Marty Pulley II, James O’Donnell, Eddie Jenkins, Brian Jenkins, Gina Krumm, Christopher Warner, Theresa Warner, Madison Christopher, Heather Mortiner and numerous great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Major Nolan officiating, burial will follow in Sloans Valley Cemetery.  

Pallbearers will be James O’Donnell, Eddie Jenkins, Christopher Warner, Brian Jenkins, Marty Pulley, Tyler Jenkins, and Larry Skaggs. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. 

Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Honor Guard Post #38.
