Josephine Elaine Fields, age 72 of Burnside, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at her residence.

She was born on March 21, 1947 in Quinton, Kentucky, daughter of the late John Henry and Hazel Dykes Gibson.

She was a member of Mt Union Baptist Church and enjoyed bingo, painting, knitting and cooking. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Forrest Gibson, Robert Gibson and James Jerry Gibson, half-brothers; Carl Lee Bradshaw, James Benny Bradshaw and Richard Neal Bradshaw, sisters; Lillie Pulley and Pearly Marie Shelburne.

She is survived by her husbands from a previous marriage; Liberty Fields of Tateville and Robert Daniel Johnston of Anderson, IN, sons; Daniel Allen (Donna) Johnston of Converse, IN and Jackie Lee (Jacqueline) Johnston of Swayzee, IN and Randall (Candy)Fields of Wabash, IN, daughter; Reba Diane Johnston (Bill Blacketer) of Science Hill, brothers; Clark Gibson, George Gibson of Clarksville, IN and Thomas Ray (Peggy) of Fairmount, IN, sisters; Frances Gibson (Johnny) of E-Town, Barbara Zeek of Ohio and Mary Sue Denny of Jabez, grandchildren; Rachelle Johnston, Dustin Fields, Jerad Johnston, Daniel Joseph Johnston, Michael Dingus, Garrett Allen (Taylor) Johnston and Seairra Johnston, great-grandchildren; Mason Plant, Kingston Dingus, Memphis Dingus, Lettie Dingus and Caiden Allen Lee Page, sisters-in-law; Geneva Gibson of Whitehouse, TN, Phyllis Gibson of Moorehead, N.C., Lula Mae Gibson of Burnside, Jewell Bradshaw of Burnside and Dorothy Bradshaw of Burnside.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Perry Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Grave Hill Cemetery.
