Mary Sue Meadors age 83, of Ferguson, Kentucky, passed from this life on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

She was born on March 2, 1936 in Quinton, Kentucky, daughter of the late Elmer and Hattie Neely Dugger.

Mary was a member of Langdon Street Baptist Church where she loved to go and listen to the choir sing. She loved to travel, play card games and do crosswords, eating out and watching U.K. sports, but most of all she loved being with her family. She was a member of Gourmet Gals and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Dewey “Dee” Meadors, a sister; Alma Baker and a sister who died in infancy, Dora Bell Dugger, three brothers; Noel Ardell Dugger, Carroll Dugger and his wife Justine and Eugene Dugger.

She is survived by one son; Andy Meadors of Louisville, three sisters; Betty Taylor of Somerset, Wanda Faye (Howard) Hunt of Ferguson and Cookie (Roger) Whittenberg of Somerset, one grandson; Drew (Emily) Meadors of Louisville; granddaughter, Patty Mertz of Louisville and three great-grandchildren; Jaden, Ian and Charlie all of Louisville. She is also survived by two special friends; Sherry O’Brien, Shawnda Cordell and a host of other family and friends.

A visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M.on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a celebration of life service to begin at Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Mill Springs National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Langdon Street Baptist Church Building Fund.
