Victor Paul Demiduk, age 75, of Burnside Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his home surrounded by family and with support and care of Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

Victor was born on July 29, 1943 in Oak Park, Illinois, the son of Maxim and Sophia Demiduk.

Victor enjoyed; fishing, camping, family and friends, sports, reading, higher education, vacations to warm places, building his house, volunteer work in the community and singing in the church choir.

Victor was a member of the first United Methodist Church of Somerset Kentucky, serving on multiple committees focused on helping families in the community.

Victor started his professional career in information technology as a computer programmer and systems analyst. During his 30 year tech career he held many roles in corporate America, government and military contracting. He earned masters’ degrees in business (Elmhurst College) and industrial psychology (Aurora University) before closing out his professional career working in industrial psychology helping create solutions adopted in the early days of homeland security following the 9-11 terror attacks.

Victor retired in 2005 to Pulaski County, KY and began his next endeavor to build his retirement home overlooking beautiful Lake Cumberland!

He was involved with Habitat for Humanities for many years serving both his local community as well multiple mission trips to help families impacted by hurricane Katrina that devastated New Orleans.

He is preceded in death by; parents Maxim Demiduk and Sophia Demiduk, sister Deanna Spring, grandsons Lukas and Aiden Demiduk.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife; Vicki Demiduk, and beloved dogs Roscoe and Liam of Burnside, son Nicholas Demiduk of Aurora, Illinois, His son David Demiduk, wife Chris and grandson Evan of Oswego, Illinois. His son Paul Demiduk, wife Kris and granddaughters Naomi and Eliana of St. Petersburg, Florida. His brother Peter Demiduk, wife Susan. His extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at First United Methodist Church located at 99 S Central Ave, Somerset, KY 42501. Pastor Chris Basil will lead the service and celebration immediately following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations, which will be directed to the Missions Committee at the church which Victor served on.
