Robert Lee Pennywitt, age 54, passed away January 4, 2018 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
Mr. Pennywitt was born October 13, 1963 to Robert and Patricia Pennywitt.
Robert’s passion was restoring classic cars and once he decided on a project he could accomplish amazing results. He served in the
U. S. Army for 28 years, during which he deployed three times; Desert Storm/Desert Shield and Operation Iraqi Freedom twice. After Retiring from Active Duty he became a passionate school bus driver for the Pulaski County School System. Robert was most proud of having raised two wonderful children Robert and Megan, together with his wife Claudia.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Mill Springs National Cemetery Nancy, Kentucky with full Military Honors by American Legion Post # 38.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Association.

I knew Robert as Rob he was my bus driver when I lived out in bronston. He always had a smile on his face and would make the best out of each day from each morning to each afternoon he would said good morning/afternoon. You couldn’t be down around him. He was kind, considerate, comical, he meant a lot to me and my fiancé my fiancé knew him the same way I did but that really don’t matter right now like I said I’m so sorry for yalls loss. My heart and live goes out to y’all.
