Joyce Dean Mayfield Morrow, age 78, of Burnside, passed from this life on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born January 03, 1939 in Elihu, Kentucky daughter to the late William Carlos Mayfield Christine Daulton Mayfield. Joyce was a homemaker and focused much of her life on loving and caring for her children. She enjoyed singing, sewing, gardening, and loved writing poems. She will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.

Ms. Morrow is preceded in death by her parents; William Carlos Mayfield and Christine Daulton Mayfield, her husband; Charles Mick Morrow, who she married November 05, 1954 in Jellico, Tennessee, her twin sister; Ima Jean Mayfield and sisters; Judy Mayfield Troxtel and Thelma Mayfield Stigall.

Joyce is survived by her sons; Charles Gary (Roxanna) Morrow, Gale (Ritha) Morrow, and Kevin (Sandra) Morrow, daughters; Debbie (Steve) Sears and Kristy (Gary) Cromer, brothers; Charles “Chuck” (Donna) Mayfield, Kenneth (Grace) Mayfield, and Michael (Tina) Mayfield, sister; Betty Jane (Jack) Troxtel, grandchildren; Travis, Troy, Tracy, Tyler, Deidre, Holli, Callie, Tasha, Kristina, Cassie, Stephen, Kyle, and Katie, numerous great-grandchildren, step-grandson; Charles Cromer, a special friend; Bobby Morrow, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 11:00 o’clock a.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 1:00 o’clock p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Butte officiating. Burial will be in the Grave Hill Cemetery. The Active Pallbearers will be Gary Cromer, Stephen Sears, Kalan Cochran, Travis Morrow, Tyler Morrow, Kyle Morrow, Kalan Cochran, and Montie Stigall. Serving as an Honorary Pallbearer is Jimmy Morrow.
