Zena Mae Morris, age 84, of Somerset and formerly of Nancy, passed from this life on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the Four Oaks Health Systems in Jamestown, KY.
She was born on April 1, 1933 in Nancy, KY to the late Arthur and Delphia Foster Daulton.
Zena was a member of Windsor First Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church, singing and playing the guitar. She was a seamstress for Palm Beach Factory for twenty nine years.
She is survived by her sons, Larry (Wilda) Morris, of Nancy, and Bro. Gary (Judy) Morris, of Somerset’ a sister, Edith Daulton (Alfred) Wagers; three grandchildren, Nathan (Jessica) Morris, Casey (Anthony) Dalton and Jordan Morris; four great-grandchildren, Sophia Morris, Jackson Dalton, Madison Dalton, Thomas Dalton; sister-in-law, Gladys Calhoun, of Somerset, and her niece, Patty Harlan. She is also survived by Doc and Judy Burton, of Nancy, Jessica Lynn Moody, of Somerset, Mike and Brenda Burton, of Nancy, Sarah and Joe Murphy, of Russell Springs, Wendy and Harvey Jennings, of Nancy, Julie and Johnathan Howell, of Somerset, Alicia Burton of Somerset, Keegan Anslow, of Nancy, Trevor Cloyd, of Nancy, Trista Howell, Gage Howell and Tucker Howell, all of Somerset, all of whom were like a family to Zena.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Otha Lowell Morris, whom she married on April 5, 1952. He preceded her on May 15, 2001.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 after 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Morris and Bro. Keegan Anslow officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
