Billy Ray Amos, age 33, of Nancy, passed from this life on Saturday August 27, 2016 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.
He was born on January 20, 1983 in Danville, Illinois. Billy accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior just a few days before his passing. He loved to fish, grow vegetable plants, loved playing video games with his kids and being with his family. Billy also loved his dog, Jewel.
He is survived by his father and mother, Mike and Vicky Britt of Nancy; one son, Brandon Amos of Nancy; four daughters, McKenzie Amos, Zoeigh Amos and Serenity Amos, all of Indiana and Alexis Amos of Illinois; three sisters, Dorothy Amos of Indiana, Brittany Britt and Elizabeth Britt, both of Nancy; two cousins who he was very close to, Jason Britt and Josh Britt, both of Indiana and also two uncles that he was very close to, Mitch Amos and Mike Amos, both of Illinois. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held Monday August 29, 2016 after 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3pm with Bro. Rick Stump officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Billy Ray Amos Memorial Fund C/O Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

I am so sorry to read of Billy’s passing. I extend my condolences to the entire family and pray that you will be comforted by Jehovah’s words in Isaiah 25:8 where he promises that death will be swallowed up forever.

i am so upset about my dad i love him so much and miss him i can’t describe how much i miss him he was the best father i have ever had i just want him back
