Cynthia “Cindy” Pitman, of Somerset, passed from this life on Friday, May 27, 2016, at the young age of 44 years.

Cindy was born in Somerset, on June 20, 1971, to the late Danny Wayne Hislope and Teresa Curry.

She married Robby Pitman on April 10, 1993, at Denham Street Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Kentucky Fried Chicken, of Somerset. Cindy enjoyed being outdoors; going to the park and going out to eat. She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Cindy was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her mother, Teresa Curry, of Somerset; her husband, Robby; her sons, Robert Wayne Pitman, of Owensboro, and Tyler Elie Pitman, of Somerset; her daughter, Linda Michelle (and Kevin) Marcum, of Somerset; her brother, Kenneth Wayne Hislope, of Somerset; and her five grandchildren, Alliyah Jones, Brayden Whiles, Ariana McPherson, Madison Marcum and Jackson Marcum.

Cindy is preceded in death by her father, Danny Wayne Hislope; her mother-in-law, Linda Ruth Pitman, and father-in-law, Robert Eugene Pitman.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., in Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will follow the visitation, on Sunday, in the funeral home chapel, at 3:00 p.m.

Burial will be in Hislope Cemetery.
