Armina Tarter Marcum was born March 23, 1931, to the late Jerome and Bessie Tarter, of the Nancy Community, and departed this life on May 25, 2016, at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her husband, Milford Marcum, whom she married on May 10, 1963.  She is also survived by her daughter, Dinah Young, of Nancy; her son, Larry and (Patricia) Marcum, of Nancy; step-daughter, Gwen Marcum, of Somerset; her grandchildren, Jimmy (and Shellie) Young, Sydney (and T.J.) Godby, Tyson (and Mary Jo) Baker, Darrell Wayne (and Fiona) Baker, MaLinda Marcum Rose, Kyle and Jason Turpen, and Cory and Cody Light; her great-grandchildren, Reagan, Kingston and Willow Godby, Kassie, Cole, Megan, Macy, Kane and Zoe Baker, Jacob and Joshua Dick, Hayley and Kayley Rose, Preston and Kaden Turpen; her sisters, Melva Dick and Katherine (and Herb) Bradley.  She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Bessie Tarter; a son, Darrell Howard Baker; a step-son, Darius Marcum; a granddaughter, Amanda Baker; brothers, Dennis, Wiley, Everett and Roscoe Tarter; sisters, Hazel Bogle, Pauline Chadwell and Edna Burton; and a great-granddaughter, Paisley Kate Godby. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Arrangements by Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
