Floyd M. Slavey age 70 of Somerset, KY passed at his home on Sunday March 20, 2016.

Floyd was born on January 16, 1946, son of the late Orville and Geneva Glover Slavey.

He is preceded in death by his ex-wife, Violet Kay Slavey, one son, Mike Slavey, two brothers, James Slavey and Wayne Slavey, and two sisters, Loretta Slavey and Jean Slavey Brown.

He is survived by two sisters; Ona (and Dallas) Brown and Linda Wilson of Somerset, two brothers; Ronnie (and Lisa) Slavey and Orville Slavey Jr. of Somerset; his significant other of forty years, Anna Williams; five sons, Tony (and Tonya) Slavey, Bart (and Ellie) Williams, Scott (and Donna) Williams, Michael (and Heather) Williams, all of Somerset and Ryan (and Angel) Slavey, of Lexington; two daughters, Tina Slavey Troxtle and Denise Slavey Milligan of Somerset. Also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

Floyd enjoyed woodworking, UK Basketball, hunting, fishing and his dog “Snickers”.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 23, 2016 after 6pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday March 24, 2016 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Harris officiating.

Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
