Walter H. Daulton, age 75, of Nancy, passed from this life on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.

Walter was born on November 3, 1940, in Nancy, son of the late Howard and Hazel Hislope Daulton.

He married Rosezella Burton, on March 14, 1959, in the Squib Community. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army. Walter was retired from the Pulaski County School System. He was a member of and former Fire Chief of the Nancy Volunteer Fire Department for over thirty years. He was a Kentucky Colonel. Walter was an avid U.K. Basketball fan and enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going bowling. He loved spending time with his grandson, Dillon. Walter was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Rosezella; his daughter, Lisa (and Chris) Butt, of Bronston; his brothers, Weylan (and Doris) Daulton, of Somerset, and Donovan Daulton, of Lexington; his sisters, JoNell (and J.P.) Wiles, of Somerset, and Lana (and Charlie) Baker, of Eubank; his grandchildren, Dillon Walter Butt, Laney Butt and Austin Gibson; his brothers-in-law, Dale (and Mary Jo) Burton, of Nancy, and Doc (and Judy) Burton, of Nancy; his sister-in-law, Freda Daulton, of Nancy; his uncle, O.D. Daulton, of Nancy; his aunts, Eva Hollar, of Michigan, Eva Daulton, of Ohio, Mary Lou Trimble, of Nancy, Juanita Daulton, Indiana, and Lucy Hislope, of Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Sherrill Daulton.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, 2016, after 5:00 p.m., in Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

Walter’s funeral service will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Jason Moore and Bro. Travis Coomer officiating.

Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. The members of the Nancy Volunteer Fire Department will serve as pallbearers.

Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard. Last Call Rites will be provided by the Nancy Volunteer Fire Department.
