Dorothy Elaine Smith, age 65, of Bronston, passed away on January 31, 2016, at her residence.

Dorothy was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on April 4, 1950, to the late Lincoln Robinson and Mary Coyle Robinson Frazier. She worked for years as a trimmer for the Champion International Paper Mill. Dorothy loved cooking and traveling. Her favorite place to be was sitting on the beach. Dorothy was a special person, even when first meeting someone, she would leave the meeting with a prayer for them. Everyone that met her loved her. She could make you laugh at any time with her off-the-wall sayings. Dorothy was a light for so many people.

She is survived by her sons, Sean Smith (and Victoria Ridge), of Bronston, and Barrett Taylor (and Angel Gilarski), of Hobart, Indiana; her brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Robinson and Tom (and Juanita) Metcalf, both of Hamilton, Ohio; her sister, Janet Hurst, of Bronston; her grandchildren, Nikki Chapman, Brayden Cain, Nicholas Smith, River Alexandria Smith and Scarlett Elaine Taylor; and many other brothers and sisters by heart.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William E. Smith; and her brothers, Richard, Jerry, Arthur and Earl.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 12:00 noon, in Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

A Celebration of Life will follow the gathering on Saturday, at 2:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel.
