Lutie Buchanan, age 57, of Somerset, passed away on January 30, 2016, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.

Lutie was born on August 1, 1958, in Nancy, to Waylon and Pearlie Minton Daulton. She worked as a customer service representative for G.E. Captial, of Cincinnati. Lutie was of the Baptist faith. She had a love for riding motorcycles and passed this love down to her children. Lutie loved spending time with and singing to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her father; her husband, Tom Buchanan; her son, Brian Foster; her step-son, Lester “Boo-Boo” Sheldon; her step-daughter, Tanya and Tasha Sheldon; her sister, Brenda Monopole; her brother, Thomas Foster; her step-sister, “Maggie” McVey; her grandchildren, Shelby, Lyllian and Farin; her step-grandchildren, Brittany, Megan, Kevin, Jordan, Jayden, Jayce, Hayley, Shawn and Kaitlynn; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Lutie in death is her mother, Pearlie Minton Daulton.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 2, 2016, after 6:00 p.m., in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Harold Harris officiating.

Interment will be in Cain Town Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
