Bro. Jim T. Caudill, age 90, of Mt. Victory, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at home.

Bro. Jim was born on July 20, 1925, in Roxana, to the late Silas and Martha Fields Caudill. He was a World War II Veteran, serving his country in the U. S. Marine Corps.

He married Thelma Cornett on March 20, 1947, in Winchester.

Bro. Jim was a thirty-four year educator, teaching and serving as a principal, and was a coordinator of community schools for the Princeton City Schools, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bro. Jim was a pastor for over thirty-four years at the Westchester Regular Baptist Church, in Westchester, Ohio, where he was still a member. He attended Providence Baptist Church, in Somerset. Bro. Jim was a member of the American Legion, a past Lions Club member, and a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma; their daughter, Teresa Louise (and Dale) Stanton, of Somerset; and his sister-in-law, Rudell Caudill, of Lexington.

Preceding him in death are his brothers, Herbert Caudill, Lee Caudill, Herman Caudill, Hargis Caudill and Howard Caudill; and his sisters, Mary Shepherd, Tina Whitaker, Tessie Cornett and Dovie June Ritchie.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 noon, with Bro. Tom Adams, Bro. James Horton, Bro. Ronnie Meece and Bro. Boyd Carmick officiating.

Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.

Interment will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
