Brenda Phillips Brewer, age 56, of West Bourbon Road, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.

Brenda was born on May 23, 1959, in Somerset, the daughter of Luied and Sylvia Rose Phillips. She was a member of the Pulaski High School Class of 1977. Brenda was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle, of Somerset.

She is survived by her parents; her sons, Dustin Luied Brewer and James Brewer, both of Monticello; her daughter, Amanda Gene Phillips, of Somerset; her brother, Jerry Randall (and Glenda) Phillips, of Somerset; her sister, Geraldine (and Wendell) Bradford, of Clarksville, Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Irene Noble (and Jody Walter), of Lexington; her grandchildren, Tristan Kay Dishman, Tyann Brionna Dishman, Joshua Rylan Phillips and Kamdyn Ray-Eugene Brewer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, Fred James Brewer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home chapel, at 2:00 p.m., with Bro. Russell Keith and Jeff Phillips officiating. Musical selections will be by Michelle and Kendra Rowe.

Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Travis Bell, Jerry Wayne Noble, Jody Walter, Kyle Guffy and Junior Godsey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gideon Bible Memorial Plan.
