Bertie E. Bingham, age 80, of Somerset, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at her residence.

Bertie was born on January 24, 1935, in the Stab Community, to the late Bee and Myrtle Brannon Burdine. She married John W. Bingham, in Somerset, on September 11, 1951. Bertie was a retired Patient Aide from Oakwood, of Somerset. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Bertie loved driving the old country roads and watching NASCAR. She loved spending time with her family. Bertie was a good mother to her children.

She is survived by her two sons, Rilo Eugene (and Becky) Bingham, of Somerset, and Christopher Len (and Darlene Ruth) Bingham, of Somerset; her two daughters, Wenda (and Bob) Conley, of Somerset, and Lesa (and Wayne) Franklin, of Somerset; her sister, Levon Gammon, of Moresville, Indiana; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Alma Bingham, of Somerset.

Bertie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John W. Bingham; her son, John W. Bingham, Jr.; her brothers, Herman, Haskel, Bobby and Hollis Burdine; her sister, Delora Keeler; her grandson, Dwayne Bingham; one infant great-grandson; and one infant great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 2, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., in Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., in Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
