Faustine Mayfield, age 95, of Somerset, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015, at her residence.

Faustine was born on August 15, 1920, in Pulaski County, to the late Fred and Lena Jones Powell. She was a homemaker. Faustine was a very active member of Denham Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to play piano.

She is survived by her sons, Ralph (and Margaret) Mayfield, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michael Mayfield, of Warsaw; her daughter, Nelva Ann (and Howard) Daulton, of Middletown, Ohio; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Faustine is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Coleman Mayfield; her son, Wayburn Clay Mayfield; her two brothers, Johnny Prather and Bradford Powell; and her sister, Marjorie Mayfield.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will be on Friday, at 1:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Muse officiating.

Interment will be in the Slate Branch Cemetery.
