Mavis Kay McManaman, age 73, of Somerset, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at the Somerwoods Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.
Mavis was born on September 1, 1942, in Swayzee, Indiana, daughter of the late Raymond E. McManaman and Deloras “Dee” Good Joliff. She was a retired employee of Wal-Mart, of Somerset. Mavis enjoyed visiting at the Senior Citizen Center, of Somerset, and was a Senior Friend through Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She is survived by her sons, Allen Weimer, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and James (and Rose) Haynes, of Nancy; her daughters, Susan Weimer, of Somerset, Nora Weimer, of Carbondale, Illinois, and Kimberly Haynes, of Somerset; her brother, Max (and Margie) McManaman, of Woodbridge, Virginia; her sisters, Marsha (and Jim) Wallace, of Bowling Green, Virginia (and Jim) Collins, of Arkansas, and Brenda (and Damon) Combs, of Marion, Indiana; her grandchildren, Valarie Chaney, Cassandra Emerson, David Emerson, Flecia Boyd, Alisha and Justin Foutch, Kaitlyn Haynes, Emily Haynes, Mark Haynes, BreAnna Rose Johnson and “L.J.” James Haynes; her great-grandchildren, Logan Chaney, Quentin Foutch, Olivia Foutch and Lucas Boyd; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., in the Needham-Storey-Wampner-Rybolt Funeral Home Chapel, in Swayzee, Indiana. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in the Thrailkill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
