Billie Jean Rhodus, age 50, of Burnside, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Billie Jean was born on June 26, 1965, in Monticello, to Billy Joe and Mary Louise Brown Bidwell.

She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and loved to take care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Bidwell, of Lexington; her husband, Sanford Rhodus, of Burnside; her sons, Michael (and Brittany) Bidwell, of Somerset, and Anthony Rhodus, of Jamestown; her daughter, Robyn Michelle (and Jay) Wiles, of Science Hill; her three brothers, Johnny Bidwell and Jackie Bidwell, both of Nicholasville, and Frank Bidwell, of Lexington; her four sisters, Lena Bidwell, Claudia Bidwell and Mary Jane Bidwell, all of Nicholasville, and Elsie (and Ed) Fraley, of Lexington; and her three grandchildren, Rosie Rhodus, Stormy Nevaeh Rhodus-Klopp and Emilie Bidwell.

Preceding Billie Jean in death is her father, Billy Joe Bidwell and her brother, Billy Ray Bidwell.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m., with Bro. Gary Phelps and Bro. Alan Fisher officiating.

Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Billie Jean Rhodus Memorial Fund.
