Betty Bell-Cabrera, age 74, of the Cedar Grove Community, departed this life on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at her residence.

Betty was born on September 26, 1941, in the Elihu Community.

She was a retired seamstress with the Palm Beach Company, of Somerset, and a lifetime member of the Freedom Worship Center, of Somerset. Betty enjoyed flower gardening and watching the Kentucky Wildcats. She loved her church family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Lou; her sons, Bruce bell, of Somerset, and Roger Bell, of St. Petersburg, Florida; her daughter, Linda Huddleston, of Burnside; her brothers, Timothy McCory (and Jenny), of Danville, and Michael McCory (and JoAnn), of Harrodsburg; her sisters, Phyllis Carey (and Tom), of Burgin, and Patricia Sanders, of Danville; her six grandchildren; and her six great-grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Higginbotham McCory; her step-father, Woodrow McCory; her brother, Richard McCory; and her sisters, Mary Leon and Terry McCory.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will follow the visitation, on Tuesday, at 12:00 noon, in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Ron Cathers and Bro. Aaron Hodge will officiate the funeral service.

Interment will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery, in Nancy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Bethany House.
