Lois Kathleen Turpin, age 88, of Somerset, KY., passed away on Friday June 12, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on June 20, 1926 in Sun Bright, TN to the late RD Huling and Betty Pemberton Huling.
She was of Baptist Faith and enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, and working word find puzzles.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Turpin of whom she married in September 1949 in Jamestown, KY., her parents, RD and Betty Huling, and seven brothers, Rod Huling, Sam Huling, Jimmy Huling, Johnny Huling, Russell Huling, Dalevern Huling, and Billy Joe Huling.
She is survived by two sons, William Henry Jr. (and Jo Anne) Turpin of Knoxville, TN and Dwight Lee Turpin of Barstow, CA., five daughters, Bernice Bolin of Slate Branch, Sarah Pittman, of Somerset, KY., Judy Turpin of Somerset, KY., Diana Ard of Science Hill, KY., and Mary Faith Turpin of Somerset, KY., three brothers, Larry (and Faye) Huling of Jamestown, TN., Teddy Huling of Oneida, TN., and Huston Huling of Oneida, TN., one sister, Rosie (Frank) Johnson of Oneida, TN., six grandchildren, Mikal Nicole Pittman, Kevin Neil (and DeeAnn) Turpin, Allison Danielle (and Jeremy) Lighty, Jeremy Wayne Turpin, and Jessica Lee (and Kyle) Sandlin, and six great-grandchildren, Jacob Michael Pittman, Chloe Ann Lighty, Abigail Rose Lighty, Christian Skye Ritchie, Maci Ana Claire Turpin, and Conner.
Visitation will be held on Sunday June 14, 2015 after 6pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday June 15, 2015 at 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Chaplain Greg Ryan officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
