Troy Pierce, age 75, of Nancy, KY., passed away on Tuesday May 26, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on April 13, 1940 in Nancy, KY., to the late Clifford and Uma Ard Pierce.
He was a member of West Somerset Baptist Church since 1970. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his children and grandchildren, supplying fish for the church’s fish fry for West Somerset Baptist Church for over 18 years.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents; Clifford and Uma Pierce, one brother; Wayne and his wife Edna Pierce, and two sisters; Janet Jasper and Barbara Flynn.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Garner Pierce of whom he married on June 10, 1961 in Somerset, KY., two sons; Michael (Mitzy) Pierce of Somerset, KY and Eric (Jamie) Pierce of Nancy, KY., one daughter; Julie (and Cary) Wade of Somerset, KY., one sister; Linda (and Ronald) Johnson of Somerset, KY., one brother-in-law; James (and Blondell) of Milford, OH., one sister-in-law; Ardena (and Joe) Henry of Somerset, KY., eight grandchildren; Joshua (and Elizabeth) Adams, Amanda Adams, Ashley (and Stephen) Godby, Michaela (and Adam) Dishman, Kelsey Pierce, Khloe Pierce, Kambree Pierce, and Brandon Beatty, three great-grandchildren; Camden Godby, Kalob Godby, and Lincoln Adams., and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday May 28, 2015 after 5pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 29, 2015 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Butte officiating.
Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
