Roxey Wade Davis Sr. age 62 of Somerset, KY passed away on Friday April 24, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on July 7, 1952 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Johnnie and Flonnie Hamilton Davis.
Roxey was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Eagle Security and was a former Owner Operator of Somerside Salvage and a Professional Truck Operator for twenty seven years plus for Vaught Brothers Woodstock Pallet. He enjoyed his family and watching his grandchildren participate in basketball, soccer, archery, volleyball and drama.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Flonnie Davis and one brother, William Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Waddle Davis of Somerset, KY; one son, Roxey Wade Jr. (and Stacie) Davis of Pine Knot, KY; one daughter, Suzanne (and Scott) Castle of Somerset, KY; One brother, Melvin Davis of Waynesburg, KY; three sisters, Linda (and Larry) Singelton of Science Hill, KY, Sandra Ingram of Frankfort, KY and Dimple Sue (and Ron) Johnson of Lockland, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann (and Mike) Waddle of Somerset, KY and one brother-in-law, Ray Jr. (and Jackie) Waddle of Gatlinburg, KY. Also survived by five grandchildren, Makayla Sneed, Makenzie Sneed, Taylor Davis, Roxey Wade “Trey” Davis III and Alexzander Castle, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday April 27, 2015 after 6pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 28, 2015 at 10am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Wallace Barnett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Parkers Mill Volunteer Fire Dept.
