Ronald Mikkelson, 67, of Bronston, KY passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on March 15, 1948 in Joliet, Illinois to the late Glenn and Lydia (Olson) Mikkelson of Plano, Illinois.
He was of the Lutheran Faith. He was a Local 149 Retired Union Member since 1997 out of Aurora, Illinois. He loved to bowl, travel, play cards and shoot pool.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette Mikkelson of 27 years of Bronston, KY; two sons, Eric Mikkelson and Kevin (Stephanie) Mikkelson both of Illinois; one daughter, Lisa Mikkelson (Karl) of Illinois; one brother, Milford (Karen) Mikkelson of Illinois; one step-son, Nate (Christina) of London, KY; eight grandchildren, Wyatt, Emma, Lane, Taylor, Bowe, Jake, Mason and Hannah, all of Illinois; In-laws, James (Jewel) Sizemore of Nancy, KY; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; two brother-in-laws, James T. “Tom” ( Terri) Sizemore II and Jerry Sizemore of Belpre, Ohio.
Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Gerri and Eve of Illinois.
A private service was held by the family.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
