Elbert Clifton Meece, age 82, of Somerset, KY., passed away on Monday March 30, 2015 at the Christian Care Community Center in Corbin, KY.
He was born on May 5, 1932 in the Omega Park Community of Pulaski County, KY., to the late William Elmer and Ila C. Calhoun Meece.
He was of Baptist Faith and enjoyed mechanic work, wood working, carpentry, and tv repair.
Elbert was preceded in death by his parents; William and Ila Meece, three brothers; Melvin Meece, Oliver Meece, and Willard Meece, and two sisters; Ida Mae Hall and Joyce Super.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Dean Sears Meece of whom he married on December 15, 1956 in Indiana, two sons; Jeff (and Nancy) Meece of Waverly, OH. and Kevin (and Chris) Meece of Corbin, KY., two brothers; Matthew (and Nancy) Meece of Omega Park, KY. and Voicey Meece of Somerset, KY., two sisters; Maxine Fields of Slate Branch Community and Louie Tims of Norwood, OH., four grandchildren; Kyra Meece, Kylee Meece, Megan (and Chris) Lufcy, and McKenzie (and John) Stokien, and five great-grandchildren; Preston Stokien, Caitlin Stockien, Eliza Lufcy, Olivia Lufcy, and Brody Lufcy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Burial will be on Thursday April 2, 2015 in the Rest Haven Memorial Park in Cincinnati, Ohio.
