Joseph Ray “Buck” Godbey, age 63, of Monticello, KY. passed away on Saturday March 14, 2015 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on April 7, 1951 in Bethelridge, KY., to the late Joseph Mike and Destie Vaught Godbey.
He was retired from fiberglass work at Star Dust Crusiers. He was of Baptist Faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting, target shooting, and the outdoors.
Buck was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Destie Godbey, two brothers; Roy Godbey and J. Fred Godbey, and one sister; Lois Lafon Brown.
He is survived two sons; Joseph Kevin (and Tonya) Godbey of Eubank, KY and Chris (and Beth) Godbey of Eubank, KY., one brother; Norman Godbey of Texas, two sisters; Sylvia Hall of Ohio and Mildred Durham of Kentucky, four grandchildren; Joseph Caleb Godbey, Christian Godbey, Carlee Godbey, and Cameron Godbey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 17, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday March 17, 2015 at 4pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. TJ Godbey and Bro. Jason Young officiating.
Burial will follow in Bethelridge Cemetery.
