Patricia Ann McCalister, age 79, of Somerset, KY passed away on Friday March 12, 2015 at Wayne County Hospital.
She was born on August 10, 1935 in Mt. Vernon, KY to the late Jesse and Sybil Randolph McKinney.
She was a homemaker and was a lifetime member of Sinking Valley Baptist Church where she was a former Adult Sunday School Teacher and for the last year, attended Oil Valley Church of Christ in Monticello, KY.
She enjoyed caregiving and taking care of everyone else.
Patricia was preceded death by her husband; Delvis “Lou” McCalister of whom she married on July 1, 1953 and one son; Jimmy McCalister.
She is survived by one daughter; Karen Sue McCalister Wallace of Somerset, KY., one son-in-law; Kennie Wallace, two sister-in-laws; Bonnie Stevens of Eubank, KY and Beverly Meece of Somerset, KY., two grandchildren; Tracy (and Jr.) Slagle of Monticello, KY and Gary Wallace of Science Hill, KY., and one great-grandchild; Connor Ray Slagle.
Visitation will be held on Sunday March 15, 2015 from 12pm to 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday March 15, 2015 at 2pm with Bro. Kevin Bullock and Bro. Ronald Sartin officiating.
Burial will follow in the McCalister Family Cemetery.
